What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credentialing Clerk position at WINCHESTER COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH CENTER?
The credentialing clerk will organize, maintain, and verify all aspects of the credentialing process, and maintain current files on practitioners. They will track the expiration of certifications to maintain up to date files and assist health plan providers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Processing initial credentialing and re-credentialing applications.
- Screening practitioners' applications and supporting documentation to ascertain their eligibility.
- Collecting information from the applicant and their malpractice insurer, and other relevant sources.
- Adding providers to CAQH and maintaining the verification status of providers in CAQH.
- Responding to health plan provider inquiries.
- Capturing primary source documentation in computer databases.
- Ensuring data is backed up.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, procedures, and policies.
Position is part-time with 20-25 hours per week. Entry level pay starting at $13.00-$15.00/hour and no benefits at this time.
