What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mountain Operations Laborer position at Windham Mountain?
Job Duties: The list below best represents many tasks you will be asked to perform at some time during your employment here at Windham Mountain. We cannot predict all the challenges that may be faced in providing the products and services required to deliver Above & Beyond guest experiences. This list is not intended to represent all of the tasks you may be asked to perform while working to complete various mountain operations projects.
Complete tasks as assigned including, but not limited to:
- Digging, shoveling and raking,
- sweeping,
- cutting wood and light carpentry,
- cutting grass (using riding and push mowers)
- cleaning up leaves,
- edging and weeding
We have several exciting projects we're working on this summer that this position will be a part of! We are taking down and replacing a lift, replacing snowmaking pipes, and implementing further snowmaking automation. In addition to these projects this position will also help with Bike Park trail maintenance, grounds maintenance, and regular trail maintenance.
Job Qualifications:
Ability to complete directions thoroughly and accurately
Must be flexible, willing to learn and adapt to changes
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to remain standing for an entire work shift
Ability to walk and work on uneven terrain
Work Schedule and Conditions: We are in the business of providing products that provide Above & Beyond experiences for our guests. Traditionally our busy periods are during weekends and holidays which you will be expected to work. You can also expect to be asked to work extra hours or days on occasion, especially during holidays.
