SUMMARY
This position, under the oversight of the Executive Director of Window on a Wider World, will oversee the operational activities of the organization including managing quality assurance programs, operational management systems, processes, best practices, policies and procedures, and compliancy. Must be detail oriented and able to communicate well orally and in writing. Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multi-task with minimal supervision. Must maintain databases and oversee reporting.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Three or more years of proven success in a financial operations role.
- Strong skills in budget development, oversight and working within budgets and guidelines.
- Ability to maintain organizational control of operations.
- Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes.
- Ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives.
- Knowledge of accounting and other business productivity software with an aptitude for learning new applications.
- Outstanding leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability.
- Proficient knowledge in MS Office and Google products.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage business operations including accounting to ensure efficient and effective management practices.
- Manage the grant/award fiscal transactions in accordance with conditions established by contract covenants ensuring grant fund reflect accurately in accounting statements.
- Establish and maintain separate restricted funds for each grant/award to maintain the fiscal integrity.
- Direct and monitor the management and investment of all funds to ensure adequate protection.
- Administer the organization’s budget and ensure that operations are cost-effective, and funds are managed wisely.
- Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans.
- Prepares reports summarizing and forecasting the organization’s activities and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
- Evaluate accounting procedures, systems, and controls ensuring the accounting systems comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Update metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, and eliminate errors.
- Ability to implement policy and procedures.
- Lead, motivate, and support the organization within a time-sensitive environment.
- Strengthen the organization’s impact in the communities we serve and furthering the mission of the organization.
- Occasional travel may be required.
