The sales consultant is responsible for providing customer support and product demonstrations. Sales leads are provided by the company. Accordingly, this role is the key factor in converting sales leads into contracts.

Position Purpose: An Outside Representative is responsible for devising strategies to promote and sell products or services to customers and clients. They serve as the liaison between a company and a client to ensure requirements of the customers are met. Sales consultants also recommend and sell products or services to clients. Good sales consultants maintain business relationships by means of trust and integrity.


Duties:

  • Determines the needs of a customer and offer solutions to those needs through the company’s products
  • Meet or push to exceed the sales quotas
  • Establish long-lasting relationships with clients
  • Promote products and services
  • Record all negotiations with customers
  • Be up-to-date with the most recent market trends and product
  • Devise sales techniques
  • Provide a demonstration to customers of our products
  • Study sales statistics and establish sales potential; regularly monitor customers’ preferences; and seek opportunities for learning and training.
  • Provide customer support and follow up throughout the customer project
  • Measure units and process all documents for each customer
  • Detail scope of work and materials needed


Qualifications:

  • excellent negotiation skills and an innovative and persuasive character.
  • Ability to engage in meaningful conversation and build rapport
  • Good networking skills and have the ability to deal with a wide variety of client companies and customers
  • Above average communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work under pressure and devise sales strategies are characteristics that can make a sales consultant successful
  • Ability to explain product features and benefits in comparison to competing brands
  • Motivated, organized, outgoing, energetic and confident.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to carry 50lbs (Demo window and bag)
