Field Service Technician

Join our Growing Service Team! WindowRama is a leading window and door distributor in the Northeast, and we are GROWING! We are seeking an experienced Service Technician who will be responsible for visiting our customers in their homes to provide service for window and door repairs. If you have previous window and door repair experience and are looking for an opportunity to grow your career - WindowRama Service is the team for you! This position requires travel to customer homes for service calls 100% of the time, and will have various stops per day in the New Jersey Region. *(A Clean Driver's License is Required.)

Position Overview:

The Field Service Technician is responsible for visiting customer homes and job sites to diagnose, document, and resolve all window and door service requests. This position requires extensive product knowledge, as well as the ability to log and create orders for any replacement parts, while also providing EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Essential Job Functions:

• Reviews and resolves all assigned customer service repair requests in territory
• Performs light-to-moderate window and door repairs and adjustments
• Creates orders for replacement parts in computer system
• Provides updates to customers with order details, etc.
• Completes data entry for service call information into ipad (or other company-issued equipment) to track and review service requests
• Maintains an honest, positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers and vendors at all times

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or the equivalent is preferred but not required
• Clean NYS Driver's License - Company Vehicle is provided!
• Knowledge of windows, doors, and skylights and their respective qualities
• Prior experience working with contractors, homeowners, and vendors
• Ability to work flexible hours including some overtime, nights or weekends

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to drive, walk, talk, see and hear. The employee can expect to work in a favorable home / residential environment. Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds and push/pull up to 125 pounds.
