Position Summary: The Volunteer Coordinator will manage all local and warehouse volunteers, ensuring seamless scheduling, communication, and volunteer engagement. The role includes recruiting volunteers from local events, schools, churches, and college campuses, while also overseeing the day-to-day logistics and hosting of volunteer activities. This part-time role offers flexible hours but will require evening and weekend availability.

Key Responsibilities
- Volunteer Coordination: Manage the schedule and calendar for all warehouse and local volunteers, ensuring the right number of volunteers for each shift.
- Volunteer Registration & Waivers: Handle volunteer registration via Typeform and manage waivers through DocuSign.
- Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for volunteers, providing all necessary information via email and phone, including building addresses, instructions, and follow-up thank-you notes.
- Recruitment: Actively recruit volunteers at local events, schools, churches, and college campuses.
- Onsite Management: Be present during volunteer hours, including setup and close-up times, potentially on Saturdays.
- Volunteer Training: Train volunteers in all relevant processes, ensuring they understand their tasks and WTW’s goals.
- Present WTW Mission: Share Wine To Water's mission, story, and filter impact with volunteers during events and activities.
- Collaboration with WTW Operations: Work closely with the WTW Operations and Logistics team to meet packaging deadlines and event goals.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly reports detailing the number of volunteer hours and groups hosted.
- Volunteer Database: Maintain up-to-date volunteer contact information.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
- A passion for the WTW mission and an ambassador mindset.
- Experience in volunteer management, recruitment, or similar roles is preferred.
Physical Requirements, Documentation, and Safety Protocols
- Sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting and operate office equipment.
- Regularly required to bend, stoop, kneel, and occasionally lift 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during volunteer shifts and perform physical tasks such as setting up or breaking down equipment.
- Occasional exposure to indoor and outdoor temperatures and various living conditions.
- Must be able to operate motorized vehicles with a valid license when required.
- Adhere to all WTW safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment when necessary.
- Must be comfortable following and enforcing safety guidelines in warehouse and volunteer settings.
- Understanding of OSHA 10 safety protocols, with a willingness to train volunteers in safe practices during warehouse activities.
- Exceptional understanding of risk management policies and best practices to ensure volunteer safety at all times.
