The PlumpJack Collection of Wineries and its operations are growing fast, and we are adding opportunities in our Outbound Sales Department located in Napa! Offering more than two decades of management expertise, PlumpJack has built a solid, respected brand, with a portfolio of properties that includes wineries, restaurants, bars, retail, and hotel.
SCOPE :
The Outbound Sales Team Member provides professional and high-quality service to our valued customers, particularly those with a recent purchasing history.
This role involves building relationships with customers by understanding their preferences, recommending wines, and introducing them to new selections.
Responsibilities include achieving sales targets, promoting our Wine Club, and maintaining accurate customer data.
ROLE AND EXPECTATIONS :
Outbound Calling
- Conduct at least twenty-five outbound sales calls per workday with a sales-focused approach.
- Provide high quality customer service to current and previous buyers.
- Focus on target wines to contribute to overall winery sales goals.
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Participate in daily team meetings to enhance sales strategies.
Database Management
- Accurately enter sales orders into Winedirect.
- Maintain up-to-date consumer database (e.g., update credit card information, billing, and shipping addresses)
- Issue receipts and provide tracking information post-sale.
- Document customer preferences, buying habits and other sales opportunities for future follow-up.
Wine Shipments, delivery, and inventory
- Assist customers with shipping information, package tracking and other order issues as they arise.
- Contact all customers with returned shipments, update information, and ensure successful reshipment.
- Communicate daily with fulfillment service.
Guest Communication
- Promptly respond to all customer communications, including calls, texts, and emails.
- Maintain knowledge of all PlumpJack Collection Wineries and available wines to provide customized recommendations based on customers preferences.
- Provide recommendations on food pairings, when to drink, how to store, and how to serve wines.
- Deliver 5-star customer service and function as lead concierge for our four Estate Wineries utilizing Tock to book and manage reservations and guest experiences.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS :
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- At least 2 years of telephone sales experience.
- Exceptional sales and interpersonal communication skills phone, verbal, and written context
- Self-starter with a positive work ethic and ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently to achieve personal goals.
- Detail orientated, organized, and efficient.
- Fluent in English.
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Wine Direct, and Tock preferred.
Additional Responsibilities
This position may involve other duties as assigned.
Compensation details : 26-28 Hourly Wage
