The Assistant Director of Housing & Residence Life-Academic Initiatives, Curriculum and Assessment provides leadership and development for Full-Time, Master?s level Area Coordinator(s), as well as the Graduate and paraprofessional staff and students in their assigned buildings/areas.Additionally, the Assistant Director provides departmental leadership for ongoing student development, living-learning communities, student conduct, Residential Curriculum and leads departmental assessment efforts.The Assistant Director is a member of the department?s central leadership team and is responsible for providing departmental leadership with emergency management and crisis intervention. The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Housing and Residence Life.
Minimum Qualifications:
? Completion of a Master?s Degree in student personnel, higher education administration, or a related field.? Three to Five years of progressive experience in residence hall administration, including experience as a live-in staff member in a university residence life program.? Experience in conflict resolution, mediation, and application of student development theory in a residence hall setting.? Experience working autonomously and the ability to exercise excellent critical thinking and judgement.? Desire to work with and address the needs of a diverse student population.? Demonstrated organizational and leadership abilities.
