Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee development, employee relations, and offboarding, to foster a positive and productive work environment and ensure employees' overall success and satisfaction.
  • Be able to physically work at the Columbia, MO office and Jefferson City office to support our people and foster a positive culture.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment process and implement proactive recruitment strategies to source and attract top talent, including utilizing social media, job boards, networking events, and partnerships with educational institutions
  • Identify training and development needs, develop training programs, and provide ongoing support for employee growth and development, including mentoring and career progression programs.
  • Administer and advise on performance management programs, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms to drive employee engagement, development, and overall organizational performance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the HRIS software iSolved, providing guidance and support to employees and leaders.
  • Coordinate and conduct new employee onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
  • Promote positive employee relations through effective communication and conflict resolution strategies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations inquiries, concerns, and conflicts and provide guidance and support.
  • Review and verify timecards and paid time off for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies and collaborate with employees and supervisors to resolve any areas of concern.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Plan and organize events such as team-building activities, holiday parties, and other social gatherings, collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Administer and promote the Wellness program and assist employees with questions and troubleshooting.
  • Stay updated with changes in labor laws and regulations and ensure HR policies and practices comply with legal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR information systems.
  • Assist in preparing HR reports, data analysis, and presentations, and collaborating with team members to support various HR initiatives and projects.
  • Contribute as a member of the ESOP committee, actively participating in meetings and providing insights and recommendations.
  • Additional office management duties and coordination are also a key area of this position.

Qualifications:

  • 4 years of Human Resources Generalist experience or a similar Human Resources role.
  • Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR highly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with employees and leaders at all levels.
  • Experience with recruitment and selection processes, including conducting interviews and reference checks.
  • Solid understanding of performance management and employee development strategies.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
