Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee development, employee relations, and offboarding, to foster a positive and productive work environment and ensure employees' overall success and satisfaction.
- Be able to physically work at the Columbia, MO office and Jefferson City office to support our people and foster a positive culture.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment process and implement proactive recruitment strategies to source and attract top talent, including utilizing social media, job boards, networking events, and partnerships with educational institutions
- Identify training and development needs, develop training programs, and provide ongoing support for employee growth and development, including mentoring and career progression programs.
- Administer and advise on performance management programs, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms to drive employee engagement, development, and overall organizational performance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the HRIS software iSolved, providing guidance and support to employees and leaders.
- Coordinate and conduct new employee onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
- Promote positive employee relations through effective communication and conflict resolution strategies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations inquiries, concerns, and conflicts and provide guidance and support.
- Review and verify timecards and paid time off for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies and collaborate with employees and supervisors to resolve any areas of concern.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Plan and organize events such as team-building activities, holiday parties, and other social gatherings, collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
- Administer and promote the Wellness program and assist employees with questions and troubleshooting.
- Stay updated with changes in labor laws and regulations and ensure HR policies and practices comply with legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR information systems.
- Assist in preparing HR reports, data analysis, and presentations, and collaborating with team members to support various HR initiatives and projects.
- Contribute as a member of the ESOP committee, actively participating in meetings and providing insights and recommendations.
- Additional office management duties and coordination are also a key area of this position.
Qualifications:
- 4 years of Human Resources Generalist experience or a similar Human Resources role.
- Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with employees and leaders at all levels.
- Experience with recruitment and selection processes, including conducting interviews and reference checks.
- Solid understanding of performance management and employee development strategies.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
