The Relationship Manager, Business Banking is responsible for acquisition, retention, and expansion of new and existing loan, deposit, and treasury relationships. This role provides exceptional customer service by taking ownership of the customer experience.
What You'll Do
Responsible for annual goals tied to loan and deposit volume, cross-sales, call planning/prospecting, and fee income generation
Manage and grow existing customer relationships with businesses that generally have between $3M - $20MM in sales. This includes aiding in servicing and expansion of the Registered Investment Advisors lending niche of the Bank.
Take ownership of credit sheet content and quality by working closely with credit analysts on their successful and timely completion
Execute exemplary portfolio management by
Maintaining appropriate risk rating on all credits
Managing administrative past dues and delinquencies
Keeping documentation exceptions to a minimum
Maintaining covenant tracking without missing dates
Limit report tickler exceptions to a minimum
Work closely with internal partners to generate internal referrals as well as develop an external network of centers of influence
Take part in bank events during and after hours
Responsible for understanding the impact of lending on the Bank's CRA goals
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Solid understanding of general credit and risk principles, mitigates, and banking policies/procedures; formal bank credit training is highly preferred
3 years' commercial lending and/or commercial credit experience
Exceptional oral and written communications skills
Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability establishing client relationships and working within a team environment
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to proactively manage and prioritize workflow
