Maintenance (Night Shift)

Position Summary

Under limited guidance follows established procedures in the most efficient manner to safely ensure all equipment is functioning properly to successfully produce a quality part that ultimately results in total customer satisfaction.

The Maintenance employee will be required to support multiple projects and work with cross-functional teams to achieve total customer satisfaction and in an effort to continue the ISO 9001 Certification by meeting quality standards and procedures.

Job Functions

§ Communicates and works with Maintenance Supervisor and Production Supervisors when equipment repairs are needed to develop and maintain a level production schedule that will meet customer requirements, higher inventory turns, lead time and earned hours

§ Completes preventative maintenance for all equipment, including inspection of ram and gib clearance on manufacturing machines and equipment

§ Troubleshoots and repairs machines, equipment, and facility including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems

§ Responsible for various maintenance duties, including threading and fitting of pipe systems, programmable controller operations, welding, and mechanical fabrication

§ Responsible for die protection and safe installation and repair

§ Assists the immediate supervisor in assessing maintenance equipment needs and providing solutions to improve department efficiencies and reduce costs

§ Responsible for installation and electrical and/or pneumatic hook up of new equipment

§ Assists the immediate supervisor in the development and achievement of departmental goals and objectives that support Company goals and objectives

§ Responsible for knowledge of ISO 9001 procedures that affect work area

§ Responsible for all quality requirements for each job performed and strives to perform at 100% labor efficiency.

§ Follows all safety requirements and rules

§ Maintains a clean and safe work area

§ Assists immediate supervisor in the training of coworkers

§ Responsible for knowledge of ISO 9001 procedures that affect work area

§ Responsible for eliminating waste, recommending solutions, problem solving and cost reduction ideas

§ Creates a culture of open communication, trust, continuous improvement and performance with internal and external customers

§ ISO 9001 support

§ Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

§ High school diploma or GED

§ Minimum 2 year degree or certificate in Electrical/Mechanical or equivalent work experience

§ 1 to 3 years’ experience in Maintenance

§ Attend work on a consistent basis and during the assigned scheduled working hours

§ Ability to read blueprints

§ Must have a working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical power sources along with a mechanical aptitude

§ Must be familiar with various types of metal forming and machining equipment

§ Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication

§ Strong problem solving skills

§ Results oriented

§ Ability to read, understand and write in English

§ Ability to understand and follow oral instructions given in English

§ Moderate to heavy physical effort required in performing normal job duties, with part-time normal and part-time concentrated attention and coordination required for normal job duties
