About Wisconsin Clean Cities:

Wisconsin Clean Cities (WCC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the use of alternative fuels, advanced vehicle technologies, and sustainable transportation strategies to reduce emissions and enhance environmental and economic development impacts in the State of Wisconsin. As a U.S. Department of Energy designated Clean Cities Coalition, WCC collaborates with public and private partners to implement projects, educate stakeholders, and accelerate the adoption of clean transportation and advanced mobility solutions.

Position Overview:

WCC is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader or organization to fill the role of Executive Director/Leadership. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainable transportation, a track record of successful organizational leadership, and the ability to foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders. This position will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of WCC, securing funding, managing day-to-day operations, and representing the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for advancing clean transportation initiatives in Wisconsin.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to set organizational goals and priorities in completion of required Clean Cities programmatic deliverables.

2. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, businesses, communities, organizations, and other partners.
  • Represent WCC at conferences, events, and in the media to raise awareness and promote the WCC mission.

3. Financial Management:

  • Lead fundraising efforts, including grant writing, sponsorships, and coalition membership.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and coalition sustainability.

4. Program Development:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of programs and projects that support the adoption of alternative fuels and advanced vehicle technologies.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and impact.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or related equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in organizational leadership, preferably in the non-profit or environmental sector.
  • Strong understanding of sustainable transportation, alternative fuels, and clean energy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure funding through grants, sponsorships, and partnerships.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, businesses, communities, and organizations.
