What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Manager position at WISCONSIN VOICES?
Responsibilities and Duties (including, but not limited to):
- Working in collaboration with Director of Communications to develop, design and implement an organic social media strategy to engagement with online audiences, promote partner organizations and community/resident led events/projects
- Providing digital support for Wisconsin Voices’ digital organizing strategy
- Creating graphics/images, infographics, videos and other content for social media platforms that incorporate data, organizing and policy campaigns
- Using social media to maximize engagement for statewide digital campaigns for organic audience growth
- Holding trainings for partner organizations to increase social media engagement
- Maintaining an online presence to promote the work of partners and the organization’s year round civil engagement work
- Preparing monthly reports of online progress and recommending appropriate adjustments to maintain key metrics and engagement regularly.
- Developing paid social media campaigns across platforms (FB, IG, Google, Twitter and others) for partner and organizational campaigns for civic participation, voting info, policy issues, data, organizing and organization’s mission
- Supporting the Digital Campaign Manager in developing content for appropriate channels and paid ads when needed
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Two or more years of experience in digital campaigns/online advocacy work (Experience with digital political campaigns strongly preferred, but not required)
- Experience with graphic design for social media and creative asset design software (advanced graphic design skills and video editing skills a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create persuasive visual communications for use in online content, visual presentations, written reports, etc.
- Ability to understand KPI metrics and tracking analytics, and a proven capability to implement data-driven strategies and sophisticated testing efforts
- Demonstrated experience creating written, visual, and/or other digital content on multiple platforms for multiple audiences using digital tools for email, social media, etc.
- Effective time management skills, including prioritizing, working independently and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and able to adapt quickly to meet project needs
- Commitment to principles of equity and inclusion, experience and skills for working effectively with staff, partner organizations and community members from diverse backgrounds and identities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Bi-lingual experience a plus
Working Conditions:
Job Conditions/Work Location:
The position is in a clean, standard office setting. Situations vary, including working remotely or in the community, including outside. The office space is open, shared, and dynamic. Occasional travel is needed. Physical Requirements: Requires sitting, standing, walking, and using a computer—sometimes for long periods of time. Engages in personal and virtual discussions. There is bending, reaching, stooping, and crouching at times. Lifting, carrying, and pushing of lighter objects up to 10 pounds may be required. Equipment Used: Computers and related components/software, copier/printer/fax/scanner, audio-visual equipment, etc.
