NEWS CENTER Maine, TEGNA's NBC stations in Bangor and Portland, has a full-time opening for a Multi-Skilled Reporter based in Bangor.
Responsibilities:
- We want a smart news hound with a heart. Someone who is naturally curious and can enterprise impact stories from Bangor to Acadia for a statewide audience.
- In this job you will set-up, shoot, write and edit stories daily for broadcast and often wrap them with LIVE shots.
- You will also write and post to the web and social media daily.
- In short, we are looking for an aggressive journalist who wants to be the best storyteller, best live reporter, and provide the best social media and web content for the state of Maine.
Job Requirements:
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism or similar field
- 1 years of experience as an MSJ/MMJ (school news gathering and/or internship)
- Experience in videography, editing, and posting to the internet
- Active on Twitter, FB, Instagram, TikTok, or Snapchat
- Knowledge of ENPS, Edius, and Axis graphics a plus
Work Environment: Outdoors
Physical Demands: Light work
Travel: Rarely: less than 10%
