The OBGYN Triage Nurse (LPN) provides professional clinical care for patients following established standards and practices. They provide extensive OBGYN triage via telephone.
The OBGYN Triage Nurse (LPN) provides professional clinical care for patients following established standards and practices. They provide extensive OBGYN triage via telephone.
- Performs extensive triage of OB/GYN patients via phone; call patients with test results.
- Performs fetal non-stress test (NST).
- Prepares patients for examination and assists physician during treatment/procedures, examinations and testing of patients.
- Records patients' medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaint.
- Measures, records and documents vital signs.
- Where applicable, performs phlebotomy, injections and other specimen collection per established policies and procedures as directed by the provider.
- Prepares and administers medications as directed by a provider.
- Authorizes drug refills as directed.
- Educates patients by providing information and instructions as directed by the provider; answering questions.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Sterilizes medical instruments per established standards and procedures.
- Represents the office in a professional manner. Treats all customers, internal and external, in a courteous and cooperative manner.
- Participates in team activities and professional development activities.
- Demonstrates and embodies the Women’s Care mission and core values.
- Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
