Great opportunity for an experienced healthcare revenue cycle systems trainer and application specialist to join our revenue cycle billing organization! In this role, the Revenue Cycle System Specialist is responsible for maintaining and collaborating with multiple departments on the implementation and use of multiple application systems. The position is also responsible for performing detailed product training sessions and go-live support on location. The candidate must be self-motivated, well organized, with excellent written and oral presentation skills. ICD-10, CPT-4, HL7, HTML, revenue cycle workflow or practice management system experience a plus.
There is potential for this position to be remote providing the candidate is within driving distance to CT, MA, RI, and NY when site visits are necessary.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
·Responsible for commanding a strong knowledge of the revenue cycle applications features/functionality and its interaction with ancillary systems.
·Mastery of assigned applications including table space configuration, template building, rule building, and maintenance and basis system reporting.
·Responsible for creating and providing on-site staff training sessions to all staff who will be end users of the system(s).
·Responsible for removing the fear and anxiety from staff who may be intimidated or reluctant about their ability to master the system.
·Provide phone, email, in person and on-site support to end-users of CBO applications.
·Responsible for demonstrating the value and power the system will provide them in their jobs and make it a positive experience for them.
·Escalate to the CBO management any problem or issues that require their involvement or that they should be made aware of.
·Responsible for providing on-site go-live support to end-users, helping insure they are operating the application and accomplishing their job functions successfully.
·Responsible for designing and documenting business and functional requirements for application software for product development and configuration based on workflow reviews.
·Provide formal and impromptu presentations and consultations to internal customers as they relate to the use of identified system functionality or the implementation of new system functionality and workflow(s).
·Participate in internal and external cross-functional teams and areas affected by the application project.
·Complete assigned tasks outlined in work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, and status reports.
·Participate in and/or conduct application training sessions.
·Complete assignments as defined in formal project plans.
·Work with CBO management in the design and creation of application software templates.
·Proactively investigates, provides input, and offers suggestions on the optimal use of system functionality.
·Participate, lead, and coordinate new group implementation.
·Responsible for creation and maintenance of policy, procedure, and workflow documentation
· Forms management in support of revenue cycle
·Insurance website administration and access maintenance
·Work collaboratively across departments and with customers/partners.
·Ability to travel, including overnight and work outside typical business hours.
Skills/qualifications/experience:
·Experience in the healthcare industry, specifically in revenue cycle and/or application master files preferred.
·Experience working with end-users in the area of focus groups, analysis and design preferred.
·Experience requirement(s) gathering and development of detailed functional specifications a plus.
·Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, PC skills required.
·Healthcare industry applications knowledge preferred.
·Prior training experience required
·Must have the ability to review application documentation, master the content and determine the impact to end users.
