About the role 

The Culinary Program Manager role will support ProdCo, the food production department at Wonder, by helping to support various, cross functional, projects and ensure they are completed on schedule.  The candidate will support multiple teams including Prodco, FSQA, Safety, Sanitation, IT, Real Estate, Human Resources, and Facilities to ensure critical milestones and requirements are maintained.   Additionally, you will help build processes and procedures for the future growth of the company.  The role is critical to our day to day operations and will be an important member of the ProdCo leadership team as we continue to develop and grow regionally.  

 Role Requirements: 

  • 5 years of restaurant, food production, or real estate fit out / construction experience
  • Strong computer skills—comfortable with MS Office (Excel, Outlook and Word primarily), systems, and document management
  • Knowledge of, or experience with Culinary Equipment, Food Production, Commissary Kitchens, and Construction Projects is a must have.
  • Experience managing and leading a team through complex projects
  • Experience working cross functionally with teams across multiple departments (tech and non-tech teams) 
  • A proven track record of effective implementations and project completions
  • History of implementing cross functional process improvements
  • Experience with Project Management Software (i.e. Monday, Asana, JIRA, Confluence, etc)
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, deadline driven, and able to prioritize multiple tasks 
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Experience defining and executing against program requirements
  • Aptitude for ambiguous and shifting priorities
  • Dedication & desire to learn.
  • A track record of ontime delivery of projects coupled with the ability to operate independently and autonomously are key to the success of this role. Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously 
  • Proactive attitude with excellent organizational skills  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively communicate across a broad range of cross functional teams
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, constantly evolving, small team environment 
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements 
  • Proficiency with using project management tools such as Jira and Confluence and others 
  • Knowledge and proficiency multiple tech tools, including Microsoft Office 

Bonus experience: 

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardizations 
  • Knowledge of standard project management techniques (PMBOK knowledge)  
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification 
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, comfortable with pulling reports, diving deep into the data, and analyzing trends
  • Understanding of waterfall, agile/scrum, and hybrid development techniques
  • Predict resource needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective efficient manner
  • Proven ability to solve complex business challenges 

The way you work 

  • Act as the point of contact for all day-to-day project issues. 
  • Develop, maintain, and review all project documentation including status reports 
  • Provide weekly updates for status meetings, including developing and regularly updating status sheets 
  • Help establish missing processes that are needed to execute programs successfully  
  • Partner with the Culinary, Operations, Real Estate, Facilities, HR, and Accounting departments to develop and manage comprehensive project plans
  • Organize and lead all meetings relevant to project completion
  • Ensure up-to-date changes to project timelines are communicated with all parties
  • Ownership of multiple, high profile, and concurrent construction projects with aggressive timelines
  • Own all major project timelines from conception to go-live inclusive of establishment of all major gateways, and liaising with applicable vendors and contractors.
  • Manage procurement of food service equipment from culinary selection to order and tracking
  • Ensure all relevant contracts are in place and deadlines are met to ensure projects are completed on schedule
  • Communicate between stakeholders to make sure that all project requirements are met.
  • Plan for new requirements and create best practices for future operations of the business.
  • Organize commissioning of new equipment and ensure proper handover is completed between Real Estate, Facilities, and Operations
  • Assist in planning of hiring events for any new openings
  • Provide insight and feedback related to equipment installations, construction timing, supply chain issues, and costing analysis
