SUMMARY
The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the sales and marketing activities for WGPW’s customer base. The incumbent will need to have technical experience with and an understanding of industrial gas turbines. This position will require 50% domestic travel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and defines the current customer base
Implement marketing strategy
Provides technical expertise on equipment and repairs
Develop & reviews customer proposals and contracts
Negotiates and manages contracts
Develops pricing
Coordinates activities with customer and Program Management
Interfaces with Customer Services Representatives
Reviews customer cost estimates, work scopes and invoices
Develops programs to effectively increase sales
Participates in forecasting and budgeting process
Travels as required
Follows up on in-house jobs
Attends trade shows
Participates in developing marketing plan
Communicates effectively
Complies with all WGPW EHS standards and procedures as outlined in the EHS program and employee handbook
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
2 years college or equivalent experience in sales and marketing
Technical knowledge of Industrial Gas Turbines
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English, such as professional letters and correspondence, safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to speak/write Spanish preferred, but not required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems, cost, margins, sell prices.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems using pre-existing standards. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to type, and handle or feel objects. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 30 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally work in high places or be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, solvents, and oils. Work environment will vary due to travel.
