Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a HR Coordinator to work in our Reading, Staines or Woking office on a fixed term contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for their first steps into a HR career within a global organisation.
The role assists with planning and co-ordination in support of People & Organisation (P&O) plans and projects. Work is assigned by the manager, with specific direction and periodic review of progress and results, although you will be required to work autonomously with the assigned task and liaise with the business as required regarding details. Work will be delivered in accordance with functional policy and guidelines, preferred suppliers and budget restrictions.
Responsiblities
- Assists the relevant P&O team with planning and delivery of specific work activities
- Supports P&O activities as required in support of the employee life-cycle
- Supports line managers with basic P&O activity and queries
- Coordinates events/P&O programmes as required, ensuring relevant stakeholders are kept informed of progress
Skills / Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Good standard of education – HR or business related qualification preferred
- Knowledge of people practices and applicable legislative frameworks
- Previous experience in an HR environment preferred
