Ensure Control & Instrumentation design of assigned Offshore Project as per India Operations systems. Carry out Control & Instrumentation design of assigned Offshore Project at India Operations and at assigned locations.
Skills / Qualifications
PROJECT EXECUTION
Have an in-depth knowledge of C&I quality plan, workflows, procedures and execution strategies. Without supervision, be able to achieve a high standard in technical planning of the C&I Design scope of work on a Project using Wood Group / India Operations / Client procedures and in line with Project requirements
C&I GENERAL DESIGN
Have an in-depth knowledge of International Codes & Standards and General C&I Design. Able to execute all aspects of General C&I Design to a high standard without supervision. Guide and coach others to achieve a high standard of C&I General Design using Wood Group, India Operations and Client standards and in line with Project requirements.
CONTROL SYSTEM DESIGN
Have an in-depth knowledge of principles used for Control System Design while assigned for system activities. Be able to develop control system design deliverables for complex applications. Guide and coach others to achieve a high standard of Control System Design deliverables using Wood Group, India Operations and Client standards and in line with Project requirements. Leads interface liaison with other disciplines (architectural, electrical) to ensure compatibility with Control System Design requirements.
FIELD INSTRUMENTATION DESIGN
Have an in-depth knowledge of principles used for Field Instrument Design. Be able to develop field instrument design deliverables for complex applications. Guide and coach others to achieve a high standard of Field Instrument design deliverables using Wood Group, India Operations and Client standards and in line with Project requirements. Leads interface liaison with other disciplines (piping, civil, electrical, mechanical) to ensure compatibility with Field Instrument design requirements.
CONSTRUCTION & COMMISSIONING SUPPORT
Have an in-depth knowledge of Construction Execution and the roles of C&I Site Field Designers. Be able to lead a C&I Site Field Design team at site. Guide and coach others to achieve a high standard of C&I Site Field Design to support Construction.
C&I DESIGN TOOLS
Have an in-depth knowledge C&I Design tools and be able to select correct tools to maximise the efficiency of C&I Design execution on a project or is a super user user/ administrator of one or more of the tools and guides and coaches' others to use the tools to deliver a high standard of Control and Instrumentation Design.
COMMERCIAL AWARENESS AND CUSTOMER FOCUS
Fully conversant with C&I norms and able to produce high quality C&I estimates for proposals with minimum supervision. Has an in-depth knowledge of the project drivers for various types of projects, including India Operation's commercial position and objectives. Manages technical input and delivers C&I design and deliverables in line with India Operations commercial objectives. Is customer focused and resolves customers' needs or issues without sacrificing India Operation's objectives.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Proactively looks for deficiencies and improvements to the established Wood Group, India Operations and Project standards and methods to ensure problems are identified and solved in a controlled and timely manner to the satisfaction of all stake holders. Drives for improvements in individuals and project teams. Ensures lessons learnt are identified to the Department for incorporation in procedures and for improvements to be implemented.
