Wood Process & Energy are looking to recruit an experienced Principal Piping Engineer with experience of Plant 3D software and offshore certification to act as discipline focal point for technical issues and project reporting on a permanent, staff basis.

Due to our continued growth in the Humberside region, the opportunity will support a portfolio of projects for gas storage facility and associated offshore assets, there may be a requirement to visit our client offshore gas installation.
The opportunity will cover all aspects of project phases ie Concept, FEED, Detailed Design for EPC / EPCm frameworks in a high profile position, part of a significant growth group with ambitious plans, providing key support to operational plant as part of an integrated multi-discipline team on larger projects.

The role contributes to the delivery of Engineering excellence through:
- Executing assigned scopes of work.
- Providing discipline expertise to the business and our client.
Process Ownership:
- Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Participate in audits and incident investigations as required.
Subject Matter Expertise:
- Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with Change Process.
- Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule.
- Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives.
- Provide discipline input to scope definition and execution.
- Executing assigned personal objectives.

Expected:
- Educated to a minimum HNC in an Engineering based subject, degree level preferred
- Detailed knowledge of Piping Design and Plant Layout aspects
- Oil & Gas Onshore and Offshore along with Petrochemical industry experience and knowledge
- Thorough understanding of Equipment typically encountered in projects
- Understanding of any special requirements that these may bring Vibration / Maintenance / Piping configuration
- Ability to deal with resolution of technical and contractual issues and policing of the design
- Experienced in Plant 3D project delivery
- Proven ability to engage in effective dealings with client
- Must be able to work with the minimum of supervision and be technically strong
- Familiar with and competent in planning, progress monitoring, forecasting and reporting
- Aware of commercial, contractual and administrative aspects of engineering
- Able to estimate project hours and materials for delegated aspects of work
- Experienced in quality control requirements and quality assurance for engineering work
- Competent in design safety / environmental requirements and procedures
