Cyber Security Specialist
Cyber Security Specialist is responsible for defining, maintaining, and leading a Cyber Security program for a mid-size Retailer. This includes but is not limited it design, implementation, testing and training.
This is a full-time, on-site position.
Qualification and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security ) are advantageous.
- 3 years of prior cyber security experience
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Perform diagnostic tests and analyze data to spot threats to computer systems.
- Develop security measures to safeguard systems.
- Make recommendations regarding software and hardware to strengthen information storage and security.
- Stay up to date on the newest viruses and malware used by cybercriminals.
- Aid in developing and implementing best practices to reduce the risk of data theft.
- Install and maintain antivirus software and systems.
- Respond to data threats to limit data loss and regain control of the system.
- Write reports outlining diagnostic test findings and explaining cyber-attack events when they occur.
