What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at Wooden Heart?
Wooden Heart in Dundee, OR is looking for line cooks to join our experienced culinary team. We are located in the heart of Oregon Wine Country and attached to the boutique Dundee Hotel. Our ideal candidate is self-sufficient, punctual, engaged, a good communicator, passionate, tidy, teachable and has attention to detail. We work hard, we have fun.
*Wage based on experience*
-Both part-time and full-time positions available
-Open for breakfast/lunch/dinner
Job Responsibilities:
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Chop vegetables, slice proteins, make pizza dough, prepare sauces and any other food related prep
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff and under the direction of the head chef and sous chef
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food and messes
- Stock inventory
- General cleaning of kitchen space and facilities
- Adhere to all safety protocols in conjunction with OR state law and Wooden Heart policy
Qualifications:
- Cooking experience or Back of the House experience preferred but not a stipulation for hire
- Able to meet all scheduling commitments
- Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs
- Strong attention to detail and sharp focus
- Reliable transportation
- Sense of urgency and hustle
- Ability to communicate and take direction from head chef and sous chef
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50-70lbs.
