The Sr. Compensation & Benefits Analyst plans and completes benefits audits to ensure compliance by partnering with vendors and benefits staff. They will interact with leadership to gather information, resolve audit-related matters, and make recommendations for operational and internal control improvements

Serves as the primary contact for benefit regulatory matters, including reporting and evaluation. Evaluates current and proposed benefit plan design for regulatory compliance.
Manages plan vendor tool to calculate pension valuation estimates, calculations, and illustrations.
Provides key plan metrics to customers, using multiple tools and visualization techniques, providing reports, scorecards, and dashboards to effectively communicate insights and improve human capital decision making.
Leads and administers process audits examining results to report if activities, resources and behaviors are being managed efficiently and effectively. Evaluates and revises internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
Leads and administers pension plan including compliance testing, plan document preparation and maintenance, completion of IRS, DOL and government filings, conversions, trust reconciliation, valuation determinations, distributions processing, and conversion of plans to different platforms. Interacts with pension and investment vendors regarding issues.
Resolves escalated concerns from plan participants in a timely manner by thoroughly researching and investigating issues.
Serves as the compliance lead for the team by partnering with outside Vendors, Broker and inside Counsel to ensure all benefit plan documents and processes are current and remain compliant with regulations. Maintains compliance checklist for all documents and processes for audit purposes. Advises management on needed actions.
Monitors regulations and maintains regulation and compliance calendar.
Develops and communicates all required notices in a timely manner. Anticipates need for all required communications for associates and retirees. Creates and determines most effective distribution of communications to ensure communication is clear and understood by plan participants. Compliance communication items include but are not limited to the Summary Annual Report (SAR’s), Medicare Part D notices, CPI increases, Pension statements, Auto Increase for 401k, Non-Qualified Defined Contribution and Non-Qualified Supplemental notifications, etc.
Calculates and prepares reports for the Summary Annual Report (SAR’s), Medicare Part D notices, CPI increases, Pension statements, Auto Increase for 401k, Non-Qualified Defined Contribution and Non-Qualified Supplemental notifications, etc.
Transfers benefit plan data to external contacts for services and plan administration.
We need someone who has: Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field or equivalent experience.
Five or more years of experience working with health and welfare plans to include experience with third-party administrators and vendors.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting company benefit programs, including but not limited to ERISA, PPACA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, ACA, Section 125, Medicare, Social Security and DOL requirements.
Strong analytical skills, technical, and auditing skills.
Demonstrated presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills; ability to think and respond clearly, quickly and respectfully to both internal and external customers.
Working knowledge of defined benefit and defined contribution plans.
Ability to interpret benefit contract language.
Ability to maintain highly confidential and sensitive information.
Desired Qualifications
CPB and/or CEBS certifications.
Corporate audit experience.
Working knowledge of Dayforce, Lotus Notes, Lawson, HRIS system.
