Responsibilities:
Direct the day-to-day functions of the facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern long term care facilities, as well as all company policies to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to the residents at all times. Additionally, the Administrator must also operate the facility in accordance with the facility’s budget.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Public Health Administration, Business Administration, or a health related degree is preferred.
Possess three (3) or more years of experience as a nursing home administrator.
Must posses a current, unencumbered Nursing Home Administrator’s license.
Have not received state or federal deficiencies at a scope & severity above a level G.
Must be able to speak, read, and write English, in a legible and understandable manner.
Must be able to read and interpret financial records, reports, etc.
Must be knowledgeable of federal and state anti-discrimination and anti-harassment employment laws and regulations
Must have a sincere caring for and interest in the elderly and have the ability to communicate policies, procedures, regulations, reports, etc., to personnel, residents, families, and government agencies.
Must meet all federal, state and local health regulations and pass a post-employment-offer physical exam. This requirement includes drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiries.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to be on 24-hour call.
Must be able to respond to facility emergencies via telephone or in person, depending on the situation.
