OFFICIAL TITLE: Staff Associate, Dual Enrollment/Early College and Governance
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Associate Dean, Graduate Studies & Professional Development
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Part-time staff, as needed.
General Statement of Duties: The Staff Associate for Dual Enrollment/Early College and Governance will be responsible for coordinating specific programs within the university's dual enrollment/early college efforts, as well as some dual enrollment/early college outreach. In addition, this position will provide administrative support to the WSU governance committees.
Responsibilities:

- (E) Coordinates many aspects of the university's dual enrollment/early college efforts, in conjunction with the Director of Dual Enrollment and Early College Programs and Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Professional Development.

(E) Collaborates with internal and external constituents, including faculty, staff, and school districts related to the coordination of specific programs.

(E) Monitors program activities, in collaboration with the finance and grants offices, for FIPSE grant reporting purposes to the U.S. Department of Education.

(E) Supervises, manages, and evaluates part-time staff, as needed.

(E) In collaboration with the Director of Dual Enrollment and Early College Programs, department chairs and/or academic deans, identifies and secures faculty to teach courses.

(E) Manages student registrations, including course adjustments.

(E) Assists with orientation programs for program participants, their families, and other stakeholders.

(E) Manages the EC-CMass website.

(E) Establishes and manages a dynamic database for the secure storage of project enrollment and fiscal information, as well as future use.

(E) Communicates students' status, progress, grades, and other information with relevant partners.

(E) Collaborates with the Director of Dual Enrollment and Early College Programs and Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Professional Development on project/grant objectives, evaluation, assessment, and reporting.

(E) Provides clerical support to the All University Committee (AUC) and its standing committees, including but not limited to the Curriculum Committee (CC), Academic Policy Committee (APC), and Student Affairs Committee (SAC).

(E) Attends all undergraduate governance committee meetings for purposes of maintaining minutes; distributes minutes accordingly.

(E) Schedules and makes arrangements for governance committee meetings; prepares and distributes meeting agendas.

(E) Acts as a liaison between AUC and its standing committees.

(E) Follows up with faculty and community members after governance meetings.

(E) Maintains governance website.

(E) Processes program, course, and policy proposals in the governance software (Courseleaf).

(E) Records governance committee votes and/or follow-up notes, and approvals by the President.

(E) Proofreads catalog to ensure governance changes are reflected.

Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of and/or experience coordinating concurrent/dual/early college programming.

Ability to work well with diverse populations from varied backgrounds.

Ability to traverse multiple bureaucratic agencies to accomplish goals.

Strong attention to detail with ability to perform responsibilities without error.

Ability to work independently, think critically, analyze information, and develop strategies to address issues, find solutions, and perform responsibilities with minimal support.

Knowledge of higher education principles, practices, and procedures.

Strong computer skills.

Ability to successfully pass a thorough background and CORI check.

Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree.

Knowledge of and/or experience coordinating higher education governance activities.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, benefited, exempt, professional APA position. The firm annual salary for this position is $65,000- $70,000, commensurate with relevant professional experience and education.
