What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packer (Heavy Lifting) position at Work Now Staffing?

Work Now Staffing is looking to hire General Laborer/Warehouse Associates for our Clearwater, FL client.

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Shift: 8:00am - 6:00pm, Monday - Thursday

Job Details:
  • Reads work order or follows oral instructions
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
  • Operates hydraulic lift or forklift to move materials from storage to designated areas
  • Counts and records number of units of materials handled in Computer System
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials
  • Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together
  • Starts machines and makes trial runs to verify accuracy of machine setup
  • Observes operation to detect machine malfunctions and makes adjustment as required
  • Cleans work area around machine
  • Follows all safety regulations, company policies and procedures
Experience:
  • 1 year in the printing industry
  • Experience with Heidelberg is a plus
Requirements:
  • Must be a team player
  • Positive – Demonstrates a positive attitude
  • Must be reliable
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
