Position: Line Supervisor
Reports to: Sous Chef Instructor, Executive Chef Instructor
Supervises: Interns, Students
Position Summary:
The Line Supervisor oversees Customer Service and food quality on the front line. This supervisor makes sure that the food follows or exceeds our standards of excellence at all times, paying special attention to busy times. This supervisor assists Chefs and students to make sure customers are served quickly and accurately and also is on the line to address and solve problems as they occur. The Line Supervisor must be able to work effectively with limited supervision and demonstrate proper ServSafe techniques at all times. This position is located in Westminster, CO 80234.
Specific Duties:
- Overall organization of the Café Line before, during and after service. Line Check keeping students on task and making sure the stations are properly stocked
- Food Quality control supervision
- Ensure consistent and accurate records are kept for temperature logs
- Monitor/manage/train Interns on breakfast grill station on a daily basis
- Ensures stations are ready to serve on time daily
- May have to support and/or work and be responsible for any station in the line as needed
- May need to assist with food prep as needed
- Customer Service responsibilities, interacting with customers on a daily basis
- Must communicate effectively and in a timely manner with Sous Chef and Executive Chef
- Participate in additional events as required
- And other tasks as assigned
- Back up cashier
- Any other duties as described by Chef
Skills Required
- Organizational skills to prioritize daily tasks
- Proper knife skills and knowledge about recipes production
- Effectively support the development of students and interns
- Model good working relationships with all Work Options staff
- Practice effective communication skills to create mutual respect among team members
- Learn and practice communicating through email
- Recognize problem solving opportunities and practice problem solving tools
- Cash Handling
Salary: $40,500 with full benefits (Vacation, PTO, Health, Vision, Dental, and Disability Insurance)
