Position Summary
The Manager of Volunteer Program is not just a role but a pivotal part of WorkFaith's volunteer initiative. You will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic volunteer program that contributes to the organization's financial and operational goals. You will enhance the volunteer experience and ensure volunteers effectively support our mission. This role involves recruiting, training, managing, and recognizing volunteers, all of which are integral to our mission and the value we place on our volunteers.

A. QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, human resources, social work, or a related field is preferred but not required. Equivalent practical experience in volunteer management or a similar field will also be considered.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in volunteer or program management, preferably in a nonprofit setting, is essential. Proven experience in recruiting, onboarding, and retaining volunteers is also crucial.Experience working with faith-based or service-oriented nonprofit organizations is a plus.
B. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Primary Responsibilities
Volunteer Management
- Design, implement, and oversee the volunteer program strategy to align with organizational goals. Continuously assess and adapt the strategy to ensure alignment with broader organizational impact and growth objectives.
- Establish processes and best practices for volunteer recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention. Incorporate risk management and compliance considerations into all processes.
- Develop training programs to prepare volunteers for various roles, ensuring compliance with organization standards.
Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement
- Source, recruit, and interview potential volunteers through various channels, including community events, social media, and partnerships. Implement targeted recruitment strategies to engage both short-term and long-term volunteers.
- Collaborate with community partners and other departments to foster a network of committed volunteers. Ensure a strong focus on diversity and inclusion to reflect the community served.
- Design and implement engaging activities, appreciation events, and communications to retain and recognize volunteers. Collect and analyze volunteer feedback to improve engagement.
Relationship Building and Collaboration
- Build positive relationships with volunteers, staff, and community stakeholders. Strengthen connections between volunteers and organizational goals. Ensure volunteers understand the importance of their role in the mission's success.
- Act as a liaison between volunteers and staff, facilitating strong communication and teamwork. Work closely with fundraising teams to leverage volunteers in donor engagement efforts.
- Collaborate with other WorkFaith departments to identify areas where volunteers can best support organizational objectives. Ensure that volunteer activities align with key initiatives.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain an organized database of volunteer records, tracking volunteer hours, assignments, and evaluations. Utilize volunteer management software for efficiency.
- Prepare regular reports on volunteer program effectiveness, engagement metrics, and areas for improvement. Use data-driven insights to propose strategic changes.
- Ensure compliance with WorkFaith's policies, safety protocols, and confidentiality standards. Review and update policies regularly as needed.
Work Environment·
- The position may require evening and weekend work, especially during peak event seasons.
- Travel will be necessary, depending on the scope and location of the events. You must be prepared to adapt to varying event schedules and locations.
- Hybrid work arrangements may be available, depending on organizational needs.
2. Secondary Responsibilities
Financial Awareness and Stewardship
- Support the integration of volunteers into fundraising events, foster an understanding of philanthropy within the organization, and help maximize donation outcomes through volunteer efforts.
Social Media Management
- Collaborates with the Marketing department on a social media presence across various channels to distribute critical messages for events and volunteer engagement. Sets goals for social media outreach, such as increasing volunteer sign-ups and showcasing volunteer impact stories.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office:
