What are we looking for?
We are looking for organizers to work in the field (primarily remotely) as part of our national field team. Organizers build relationships with our members -- everyday people across the political spectrum -- and help them take action to improve their economic lives. That means meeting people wherever they’re at, organizing with people who have never organized, and talking with a lot of people who might disagree with you on a lot of things.
WorkMoney seeks an energetic individual who enjoys connecting virtually with new people from different walks of life. The organizer will work closely with the Deputy Field Director, along with team members across the organization – Advocacy, Digital Engagement, Data Analytics, and the WorkMoney Resource Center teams – to share insights from the field. Organizers are instrumental in developing and supporting members to share their stories and be a leader for the causes they care about. Organizers connect with members on daily calls and are responsible for executing on campaign goals. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Daily remote organizing calls and some on-the-ground field work
- Member mobilization for events, meetings, and training
- Build new and deep relationships with other everyday working Americans
- Work with communications team to identify and prepare working people to tell their stories to media, social platforms, and other press outlets
- Work with policy and advocacy team to identify and prepare working people to share their stories with elected officials and staff
- Work collaboratively across the organization and with other teams to execute organizational goals
