Summary/Objective
The role is responsible for the development and implementation of training for Pearce Renewables/WWS, the “Company.” Responsible for the coordination of, and certification management for all online, in-class, field verification, and third-party training. This role ensures training is conducted in accordance with Company policies for all service lines and is responsible for the scheduling, certificate tracking, curriculum, and training effectiveness.
Essential Functions

- Develop schedule in accordance with business needs:
- Collaborate with division leaders to understand training need (I.e., personnel, course mix, technician level, etc.) and establish annual training OPEX budget, number of trainers, CAPEX needs
- Adapt schedule to align with evolving business needs by collaborating with evolving divisions
- Implement Learning Management System (LMS), in collaboration with Safety, to deliver online training modules in accordance with Company safety policies.
- Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as on-the-job training, refresher training, etc.
- Maintains physical and digital personnel training records.
- Utilize LMS records management to track all certifications earned
- Coordinate with IT, Safety, Business Development to optimize certificate tracking, internal and external delivery for verification
- Develop course curriculum for technical training, leadership development, industry safety, and career development, and external/custom training in line with business objectives.
- Develops strong cross-functional relationships with internal customers to foster course development, material usage, and foster feedback on effectiveness.
- Formulate teaching outlines based on course proficiency and delivery effectiveness.
- Mobile University utilization and readiness
- Establish instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops to support delivery effectiveness.
- Maintain Global Wind Organization standards and certification for training by continue the HPTC relationship, fostering cross-training opportunities
- Prepare technicians for external/third party training (GE LOTO, etc.)
- Responsible for measuring and improving training effectiveness
- Development of Training Labs in support of curriculum
- Selects and/or develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works.
- Establish continuous improvement program for training & safety procedures, including measurement, analysis, implementation, and control
- Lead Training Department
- Establish and implement development plan for Training department; measure performance and establish plans for continuous improvement of training capabilities
- Travel and perform training on various platforms, as needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 8 years of progressive experience in the renewable energy (wind/solar) industry
- Proven history of teaching in a classroom setting and developing wind turbine, solar, or EV technician-related curriculum
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- GWO Train the Trainer, desired
- Proven track record on training First Aid, Working at Heights, Electrical Safety, and maintenance, advanced technical, and troubleshooting
- Ability to engage with all students in the classroom, understanding the core elements of adult learners and maintain professional appearance.
- Computer proficiency with all Microsoft Office programs, particularly PowerPoint. Skills working with classroom audio/visual equipment
- Ability to be flexible and meet the changing needs of a dynamic, growing company

Work Environment
This job operates in an industrial classroom/laboratory and office environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, audio/visual classroom aids, and printers/scanners.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position requiring up to 40% travel. Specific days and work hours vary according to the class schedule.
Education and Experience
- Five years of training experience in the renewable energy industry, required
- Some advanced education or working toward a degree in either education or the renewable energy industry, desired

The job requires long periods of standing while teaching a class.
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and manipulate learning aids in the classroom and laboratory.
Travel
Out-of-area and overnight travel is to be expected.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
Must possess a valid state driver license prior to employment. Motor vehicle record must meet company insurance standards. Candidates must also meet company standards for pre-employment background checks and drug screens.
