Billing clerk

Job Summary :

The Billing Clerk at Worldwide Equipment Sales of Illinois will be responsible for all billing and invoicing functions related to auto sales.

This position reports to the Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a basic understanding of accounting principles - and if you have vehicle titling experience, that is a 'plus'!

Key Responsibilities

• Complete and follow up on funding requests from finance companies on all deals.
• Review and confirm incoming funds and send bill pay requests.
• Update Unit Inventory.
• Manage Fleet Accounts.
• Arrange for Delivery and Customer Pickups.
• Request MSOs, titles, trade titles, payoff letters, vendor invoices, and lien releases.
• Issue Drive Away Permits.
• Maintains records of financial transactions, including filing and organizing financial documents.
• Assist with title work, sales taxes, and warranties.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls, greet customers in the lobby.
• Assist as a backup to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in billing or accounting preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software programs
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Experience in the auto industry / titling is a plus!
