TELEMARKETER INTERN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Business Development Telemarketer is responsible for generating new business opportunities and driving revenue growth through proactive outbound calling and lead qualification. This role involves identifying potential clients, making initial contact, and nurturing leads to convert them into sales opportunities.
Responsibilities for Telemarketer Intern:
- Outbound Calling: Conduct high-volume outbound calls to prospective clients and introduce the company’s products or services and explain their benefits.
- Lead Generation and Qualification: Qualify leads based on predefined criteria to ensure they fit the target customer profile.
- Appointment Setting: Schedule appointments for the sales team with qualified leads and ensure a smooth transition of information from the telemarketing team to the sales team. Confirm appointment details with both the prospect and the sales team.
- Follow-up and Nurturing: Follow up with leads who have shown interest but are not yet ready to make a purchase.
- Sales Support: Assist the sales team with the preparation of sales presentations and proposals and provide insights and feedback from telemarketing activities to help refine sales strategies.
- Market Research and Intelligence: Gather market information and insights during calls to identify trends and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Good familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications
- 1 years of experience in sales
- 1 years of experience in the industry
- Strong knowledge of industry standards
- Confident and charismatic approach to people
- Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable making high volumes of outbound calls.
