What are the responsibilities and job description for the HSE Support position at Wren Kitchens?
About The Role
Main responsibilities:
- Assist the H&S Manager in the development and review of corporate Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Assist the H&S Manager to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Health and Safety regulations in accordance with the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), MHE on site, as well as other regulations and safety standards
- Assist the H&S Manager to monitor work related injuries and illnesses, including investigations and conduct root cause analysis
- Assist Safety Manager in managing workers compensation claims through communication with employee and plan claim's administrator to properly report and document the claim
- Promote a safe environment by collaborating with managers and employees to identify and reduce risks within the working environment, and to achieve identified organizational goals related to Safety and Environmental compliance
- Conduct the recorded daily site walk, issue non conformances, corrective actions & notices
- Conduct and/or assist in safety audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations
- Conduct periodic safety and health audits and track findings to ensure closure
- Ensue respiratory testing programs are up to date
- Represent the H&S department through being visible in the processing plant and other site locations
- Observe safety practices and ensure all relevant procedures are being adhered to
- Lead the Health & Safety Committee
- Maintain and update corporate record-keeping database in regards to OSHA reporting and training requirements, and as required by external customers.
- Assist in administrative jobs when required
- To ensure GDPR Complianced
- Other duties as assigne
Additional training & instruction required through time, will be provided by Wren.
About You
Who are we looking for?
- Must be able to work flexible days/hours when needed
- Bi-lingual in English & Spanish preferred
- Solid knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- OSHA competent person certifications / OSHA 30-Hours
- Bachelor's Degree in related field of study (preferred)
- Face Fit testing qualification (preferred)
