WSP is currently initiating a search for a Financial Manager for our Virginia Beach, VA office.
Your Impact
- Acts as the management and administrative lead for the financial management aspects of the Project
- Holds the leadership role in the management of sufficient quality of financial oversight support services to the Project.
- Responsible for monthly invoice reviews, recommendation for payment and documentation.
- Responsible for oversight of project schedule of values.
- Responsible for oversight of stored materials tracking, documentation, and payment recommendation
- Responsible for compliance with Federal and State requirements associated with project funding including TIFIA.
- Ability to transform vast amount of information into summarized dashboards
- Present information and reports on time, with high level of accuracy.
- Analyse and present diviations from previous to current month
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- 10 years experience in transportation infrastructure development and construction
- 7 years experience in Project Controls
- Demonstrated experience in similar roles/responsibilities as financial manager on a project of similar magnitude and complexity.
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience to manage, coordinate, and oversee multiple project support efforts in order to meet on-time, on budget, high quality business objectives.
- Demonstrated knowledge of public policy and business practices related to transportation issues.
- Demonstrated experience in similar roles/responsibilities on past assignments for complex major transportation infrastructure programs or projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter attitude with proactive, results-orientated focus
- Detail orientated
- Analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- A track record of following through on commitments
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management.
- Experience in preparing project reports and documentation
- Must be located in the Virginia Beach, VA area or willing to relocate to the area
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Design-Build experience
- Background knowledge of the construction industry desired.
- Hands on experience in Excel, Power BI Dashboards
