In the role of the Retirement Implementation Specialist, the WTW specialist applies their knowledge of pension administration to own defined benefit system requirements and support both ongoing client service and software implementation activities.
In this role, the Retirement Implementation Specialist, working closely with the Technology Consultant and other members of the delivery team, helps ensure that pension administration processes and software (new implementations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance) accurately reflect client plan design features and comply with current pension legislation.
Specifically, this individual will be responsible to write requirements and test plans to validate plan design, legislative changes, participant communications, platform upgrades and support functionality for clients and the administrative team.
This individual interprets plan design and legislative changes, identifies and documents associated system and data requirements, works with development staff to ensure that requirements are understood, and defines and manages the testing phase of the implementation project, including testing calculations and running / reviewing regression.
This individual would also present these specifications to the client and run the user acceptance testing meeting. The role involves interaction and coordination with global members of the Retirement client delivery team, including the Retirement Testing Specialist, development and other technical staff, and the Technology Consultant.
This position affords the opportunity to grow one’s knowledge of pension administration processes and software, data, and systems delivery while using consultative, organization, problem solving, time management, technology, and communication skills.
As part of the Shared Delivery team, there will be a high value in being flexible, efficient and a strong partner as you support the Client Delivery Teams (CDTs).
The Role

Client Performance Objectives
- Work with clients, pension administration team, and actuarial team to create system requirement documents and data mapping specifications for developers.
- Ensure that defined benefit administration system implementations, upgrades, ongoing maintenance, etc. accurately reflect plan design.
- Work with Retirement Testing Specialist to create test plans, using specifications to identify applicable break points, negative test cases, etc.
- Manage testing for projects, including delegating sub tasks to testers. Provide testing status / statistics to project managers on a consistent basis.
- Create client specific testing tools based on specifications to validate results including date calculations, factors, table lookups, average earnings calculations, etc.
- Conduct quality assurance testing including calculation, participant communications, participant self-service and regression testing to ensure the integrity of system components.
- Review and address issues identified during user acceptance testing including calculation, participant communications and participant self-service as needed.
- Contribute to successful project management.Participate in developing cost estimates and project plans for quality assurance testing and updates to system specifications.
Work with Project Manager to ensure progress of team against established goals; communicate status to Project ManagerManage client expectations and raise appropriate issues to project managers.
- Attend client meetings, including leading the specification and user acceptance testing meetings.
- Contribute to the development of new tools, processes, and solutions to create efficiencies and meet clients’ outsourcing needs.
- Follow firm and line of business processes, protocols and quality standards in the development and deployment of solutions.
- Act as point of contact for multi-client product rollouts for clients that are not offshore approved.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Increase efficiency within client teams by identifying ways to improve processes.
