Nature of Work
Under general supervision, perform complex administrative and professional work at the advanced level in managing the WV Healthcare System Preparedness Program (HSPP), a major statewide program within the West Virginia Department of Health, Bureau for Public Health (BPH), Center for Threat Preparedness (CTP).
- Manage multiple program processes and activities in the Healthcare System Preparedness Program to advance the capability of the WV Health Care system to respond to regional, statewide, or national emergencies/major disasters.
- Informs director of technical area, program or service deficiencies and recommends improvement including the areas of program planning; grant development, monitoring, and reporting; and coordination and oversight of grant activities within the agency and via external healthcare system partners.
- Provide liaison and collaboration with multiple task forces, support and engage partnerships, and participate in advisory councils at regional, State and Federal levels.
- Consults with other programs or technical area staff, supervisors or managers concerning projects and priorities.
- Plans and develops budget request and short- and long-range work plans.
Minimum Qualifications
Training: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in the area of assignment.
Substitution: One year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as described below may substitute for the Master's degree.
Experience: Three years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience in the area of assignment, one year of which must have been in a program administration capacity.
Substitution: Post-graduate training in the area of assignment may substitute through an established formula for the non-supervisory experience.

Pay: $42,898.00 - $79,358.00 per year
