What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist position at WVU Medicine?
The Physical Therapist assesses and treats patent with a variety of physical dysfunctions using exercise, education and various modalities in order to allow patients to function optimally.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
2. Currently licensed or eligible for licensure as Physical Therapist in WV.

1. Actively participate, coordinate and supervise the treatments of patients requiring physical therapy.
2. Responsible for documenting the findings of patient evaluations, progress and re-assessment in a timely manner.
3. Participate in quality assurance activities as outlined by Director, completing appropriate reports in a timely manner.
4. Responsible for conducting periodic in-services and ongoing training of departmental employees.
5. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient ranging from pediatric to geriatric.
6. Accountable for serving as an essential member of the department and multidisciplinary team to ensure quality cost effective outcomes for our customers.
