A premier OTR trucking company here in the Salt Lake area is in need of an experienced Dispatcher Customer Service Agent. This is a “direct-hire” opportunity with lots of opportunity for growth & additional training.

Starting Wage: $21.00 - $25.00 an hour to start DOE
Schedule: Monday – Friday 12:00pm - 9:30pm
This is a “direct-hire” opportunity and not a “contract” or “temp” position.
Responsibilities of the Customer Service Agent / Mechanic Dispatcher position include:
Communicate with drivers, partners, field personnel, operational teams, safety, compliance, emergency response teams, mechanics and vendors as necessary to successfully execute all road service calls. Dispatch mechanics.
Accurately diagnose tractor/trailer breakdowns and to understand industry specific terminology.
Identify correct repair requirements and/or required tools/applications for all road calls.
Demonstrate strong decision making ability to utilize all network options and at-site options to meet customer commitments and execute the repair.
Handle calls in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain a high-level of understanding of all company policies & procedures related to on-road repairs, estimates, shop operations, OEM requirements, warranty applications, vendors and safety/compliance regulations.
Process invoicing, credit card and Comcheck payments.
Qualifications for the Customer Service Agent / Mechanic Dispatcher position include:
Previous dispatch diesel mechanic, trailer technician / mechanic or automotive mechanic experience is preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and other computer systems a must
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong telephone people skills required to maintain excellent customer service
Strong problem solving abilities
Be willing to support and assist in overload work situations, including flexibility with breaks and lunch hour.
Be willing to work holidays, weekends and cover for vacation/sick time as required.
Proven ability to work successfully under pressure
Safety/Compliance knowledge (CSA) or Department of Transportation (DOT) experience is a plus
