Business Analyst, Sales Tax

The Role As a Business Analyst you will support product leaders and development teams in building a deep understanding of customer problems through data driven analysis, translating insights back to the team, organising work to be done, and contributing towards solutions that realise customer and business value. About the team Sales Tax is one of Xero’s key strategic initiatives as we look to grow and create product market fit in the US.  We’re creating a product that we’re really excited to take to the market as it presents our team with an opportunity to simplify experiences for our busy small businesses and Accountants/bookkeepers. We’re taking a test and learn approach; working  with customers to draw insights that will inform our roadmap as we go. As sales tax in the US is quite complicated, it presents lots of opportunities for us to do things better, someone who loves to learn and is curious about the “why” will definitely thrive in this environment. This role will be working with the team that is responsible for Sales Tax Reporting, and will help them make the complex simple through their analysis and ability to grasp complex concepts quickly.
