Advanced Quoting Engineer

The Advanced Quoting Engineer role is focused on providing both engineering and costing feedback for major customer new business opportunities, communicating both directly with the customer as well as across multiple internal departments and management levels.  The goal of the function is to help the team win customer contracts and ensure that technical and commercial risks are identified and appropriately mitigated.  Key functions: • Evaluate customer opportunities from an engineering, manufacturing strategy and cost and timing perspective • Perform engineering analysis and studies and work through options to meet customer and internal objectives • Present different options to the customer and internal team to help drive optimum solutions, including formal tech reviews • Submit formal proposal (Engineer feasibility, manufacturing strategy and formal quotes) into program management and executive management Required experience: • 10 - 20 years experience in manufacturing environments, ideally across a few industries • Minimum 10 years experience in the role of Advanced Program Quoting, Engineering Management, or Operations Management in a diverse technical manufacturing environment • Diverse manufacturing experience, ideally covering CNC, Sheet Metal, Stamping, Die Casting and other technologies • Degreed Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineer • Self starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision • Able to put together both working level and formal presentation • Comfortable providing direct customer and manufacturing partner presentations • Strong ability to brainstorm with customers, partners and internal staff and reach required outcomes • High energy, positive disposition and engaging communication skills If this job isn’t for you but you have a friend who may be a perfect fit - share this job with them!
