As the Director of Marketing, you’ll be responsible for setting the growth strategy and overseeing the execution of demand generation tactics to continue our high-growth trajectory.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Build out a high-velocity growth marketing function by being hands-on with execution in all aspects of branding, customer events, intelligence gathering and sales partnership
- Own the pipeline number for XPO’s US, International & Overseas business, working to define the growth plan, channel mix, data & analytics to drive net new and expansion leads across all segments (Strategic, Commercial, SMB), partnering with the sales team on strategy, targeting, lead follow up, and conversion
- Define and own KPIs for targets and growth tracking performance metrics on a daily or weekly basis
- Oversee refinement of marketing attribution models, and continually evaluate and improve the effectiveness of all demand-generating marketing channels
- Own the strategy for executing data-driven integrated campaigns & events in partnership with XPO functions (sales, pricing, operations, communications) to reach target audiences and in alignment with strategic market moments to extend reach
- Support efforts in understanding the competitive landscape and identifying key target areas (verticals, geographies, lanes) for XPO to focus on for growth
- Build initiatives for establishing a brand and corporate identity
- Develop marketing plans, such as promotional events and new product launches in support of new go to market/product development innovations
- Intelligence – Market, Competitive, Customer - Research the market, understand customer requirements and analyze trends
- Sales Enablement – customer events, lead funnel, trade shows
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent related work or military experience
- 7 years of experience developing and leading growth marketing initiatives and teams in high-growth, innovative and complex organizations
- Experience in building long-term customer relationships and developing positive relationships with key industry stakeholders
- Excellent communicator with the ability to complex ideas with clarity, confidence, and authority, as well as ability to work with and present clearly to the executive team and deeply partner with Sales leadership, Pricing, Communications and Operations
- Exhibit fiscal responsibility by managing operations within budget guidelines with outstanding business judgement
- Hands-on experience building integrated campaigns, as well as with Google Ads, SEO, SEM, and other digital channels & tools
It’d be great if you also have:
- Experience building integrated campaigns and ABM strategies to drive efficient pipeline growth
- Has proven scale and demonstrated ability to work at pace in a high-growth company; a blend of startup and enterprise experience
- Proven customer centric approach to bring effective strategic thinking to the market.
- Ability to solve problems by applying design thinking, product development, and innovative frameworks
- Transportation, logistics or supply chain experience
