THE ROLE: The Digital Operating Specialist will expand the sale and rental of digitally enabled pump systems in the North American Dewatering Market. The candidate will accomplish this by assisting and coaching sales, application engineering, service, and operations with equipment selection, pumping control system design and leveraging of internal IoT and digital tools. The Specialist will enable Sales and Operations to use Xylem’s digital tools to service and maintain the Xylem NA rental fleet optimally. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Provide reporting and insight from various Xylem digital tools and services as they relate to fleet management with the goals of improving efficiency and productivity in Xylem’s branch operations.
- Drive measurable improvement on decreasing maintenance costs, improving digital utilization.
- Support new sales opportunities for digital products.
- Gather internal and external customer VOC on Xylem digital services and work with Product Owners and Product Management to define and prioritize new features and improvements.
- Provide support to branch network by hosting regular meetings to share best practices and discuss pain points.
- Provide education and coaching to Sales and Operations on Xylem’s digital offerings; help these teams make the connections to resources in the business to fully realize the potential of the technology.
- Review opportunities with Sales and Operations to identify best digital Xylem solution/offering
- Support Electrification in NA Dewatering market by providing standard work procedures and training for electric and automation products.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Civil)
- 4 – 7 years of experience in related field; experience within fleet management or rental industry preferred.
- Experience in training, coaching and enablement for a Sales organization.
- Background in Software as a Service (SaaS) product
- Thorough understanding of fluid hydraulics and pump control systems
- General knowledge of diesel engines, electric motors, motor starters and VFDs
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize, meet deadlines and work independently with initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate and build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to travel frequently with little notice.

Salary
Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
