Job Description
The Human Resource Generalist position plays an important role in achieving our values, administering policy, procedures and benefits while performing and supporting the day to day operations of the human resources department. This position reports to the Human Resources Manager.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate recruiting efforts - post positions, review applications; maintain information in applicant tracking system; maintain job descriptions; represent the organization at local and regional job fairs, perform preliminary/phone interviews.
- Onboard new hires by sending and processing employment paperwork; creating offer letters, scheduling background checks, performing orientations
- Monitor and process FMLA, Short Term Disability and Worker Compensation claims, and processing with external vendors;
- Complete unemployment forms and employment verifications
- Coordinate benefit enrollments and assist employees with benefit questions
- Plans and executes variety of special events such as organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, picnics, and retirement celebrations.
- Is willing to travel between company sites as needed.
- Serves as a backup to process weekly payroll; verify for accuracy, completeness, and ensuring compliance with payroll laws, standards and practices; review and process employee data and timecards including changes in pay, hours, supervisor, garnishments, accruals to assure that information is entered in a timely manner.

Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus 3 years' experience or minimum 5 years' experience in Human Resources
Solid knowledge and understanding of employment law
SHRM Certified Professional preferred
Salary is based on experience.
Hours of employment are 8 am - 5 pm, Monday through Friday on site at our office in Hanover, Pennsylvania.
Salary : $60,800 - $77,000
