The Yelp Training Specialist has a specialized focus within the Partner Sales team. They will design and distribute new and ongoing training experiences for new hires and existing team members within this rapidly growing group at Yelp. This includes creating instructor-led trainings (skewed to virtual/remote learning today) and on-demand online learnings via our LMS platform, Exceed. 

The Training Specialist will be responsible for designing and delivering trainings around: Onboarding, Salesforce/Sales Tools, Consultative Selling, and Product Positioning. An effective Training Specialist will be able to effectively juggle internal communication with key stakeholders including: sales + sales leadership, product, product marketing, marketing, customer success, and revenue operations.   

The Partner Sales Training Specialist will be required to upkeep internal resources including an online library, Exceed trainings and regular comms w/the broader sales org. They will have a clear understanding of Yelp’s suite of advertising products and platforms and can explain its functions and benefits to sales and sales leadership. 

A successful Training Specialist will generate a network of support with other teams at Yelp, helping to participate in, organize, and execute against a greater training strategy.

Where You Come In:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 1-2 years of experience in a sales, communications and/or learning & development role - proven experience in selling, training or related role to establish credibility with stakeholders.
  • Respected by their peers as a leader and a resource for questions, inquiries, and content presentation. Has a reputation for positivity, problem solving, and well-rounded knowledge of all segments of the business. 
  • Must be able to create training content without errors, hold classroom trainings with professionalism and has a proven ability to conduct effective meetings.
  • Familiarity with consultative sales and a more sophisticated approach to client engagement.
  • Ability to be proactive and flexible in an ever-growing training environment. Must manage themselves and others through change with confidence and an optimistic outlook.
