We have developed state of the art technology that makes remotely adjusting a property insurance claim fast and easy and are bringing it to market in partnership with leading property insurance carriers. As a Senior Android Engineer, you will own the technical development and delivery of our commercial Android application that enables this technology to solve real problems for our customers. Requirements
- 5 years experience building commercial Android applications
- Track record of success leading Android development projects in an industry setting
- Fluency with Kotlin and MVVM architecture pattern
- Expertise developing with Android Studio and Android SDK
- Expertise using Gradle for build systems as part of CI/CD for a regular release cadence
- Expertise with Jetpack Compose and deep knowledge of idiomatic design for Android
- Proficiency with profiling and optimizing application performance using Android Studio and Android GPU Inspector
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- Located in the domestic United States or Canada (we are willing to sponsor a candidate for this role)
Bonus
- Knowledge of AR and graphics frameworks including ARCore and OpenGL
- Familiarity writing and/or interfacing with C or C code
- Experience leading and managing remote engineering teams
- Prior startup experience
- Passion for computer vision and AR technology
Salary: $163,000 USD
*Based on a variety of factors, including location, relevant skills, and years of experience.
