Custodian

About the Company and Position: Yippi-Ki-A Cold Brew Coffee is a company built on the principles of integrity and quality.  We pride ourselves in providing our clients and customers with the highest quality cold brew products.  We are looking for a reliable custodian/janitor who is trustworthy and reliable.  This person will maintain the highest integrity and responsibility in all tasks. 

Custodian/Janitor Job Responsibilities: 

• Cleans all dishes and trays used in the manufacturing process of cold brew coffee.
• Deep cleans machines to food-grade level on a needed basis and in prep for food shows.
• Maintains the FDA/food-grade level of commercial cleanliness for the manufacturing areas and materials for the cold brew process.
• All other areas of the office, staff kitchen, bathroom, and warehouse are maintained at an FDA/food-grade level of commercial cleanliness.
• Washes windows, mirrors, and vinyl curtains separating production/manufacturing, office, kitchen, and warehouse.
• Takes out the trash and recycling.
• Wipes down and sanitizes surfaces.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks restrooms.
• Sweeps, mops, and vacuum floors.
• Organizes the janitor’s supplies and tools, providing a list of cleaning products needed when supplies are low.
• Follows all safety precautions and requirements.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
• May need to move large commercial pots weighing up to 30-50lbs.

Work Hours and Benefits:  

• Part time: 16-24 hrs a week
• 2-3 days a week (flexible schedule)
• $15 an hour, no benefits
• May evolve to an evening/night position with added responsibilities and hours.

Janitor / Custodian Qualifications and Skills: 

• Works well independently and has strong time management skills.
• Follows written and verbal instructions as provided by supervisors.
• Collaborates with other employees and supervisors to maintain the highest standards of quality and integrity.
• Handles the job's physical demands, including standing and walking for most of the shift, bending, and lifting at least 50 pounds.
