of the Child Enrichment Program (CEP) leadership team, the Site Director is responsible for leading a
staff of 6-10, interacting with parents, providing direct care of 60 children, writing curriculum and
activity planning, and promoting positive member engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and
procedures.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum age of 21.

• Ability to lead, manage, and supervise a staff team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Previous child care or group work experience is expected.
• Must possess a High School Diploma or an equivalent.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Stands and greets parents and children by name.
• Leads group songs, games and crafts, and engages children in learning activities.
• Maintains positive relationships with the members, participants, staff, supervisor, and partnering
agencies.
• Writing lesson plans, and implementing activities consistent with the weekly themes.
• Knows, understands, and consistently applies all safety rules, and ensures staff team does as well.
• Record keeping including records of children enrolled, staff and attendance.
• Maintains all Childcare Licensing requirements, as well as the STARS/ALL STARS Initiative.
• Communicates with parents and caregivers about their child’s activities/day.
• Provides supervision of Group Leaders including coaching and evaluations.
• Possess a willingness to work with youth and staff while having FUN.
• Supports the Annual Giving Campaign.
• Able to be a role model for children, and staff in our programs.
• A leader that possesses initiative, enthusiasm, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Attends all staff meetings and trainings as assigned.
• Deadlines are met on a regular basis including weekly files, incident/accident reports, PNC,
registrations, 3C’s contracts.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Climbing, sitting, standing, pushing, walking, kneeling, and stooping.
• Tolerate heat and humidity for extended periods of time.
• Exposure to outdoor elements for major portions of the day.
• Noise level- High
• Ability to communicate verbally, including projecting your voice across a distance in normal & loud
situations.
• Employees must wear a proper facial mask/covering at all times while inside any YMCA facility.
Masks are not required when working outdoors.
STATUS: Full Time, Non-exempt
STARTING SALARY: $20.00 /hour
