This is a part-time on-site role as an Afterschool Counselor at the YMCA of the Triangle in Chapel Hill, NC. The Afterschool Counselor will be responsible for supervising and engaging children in various activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment, assisting with homework, and promoting social and emotional development.
- Experience in working with children and youth
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to provide a safe and inclusive environment
- Knowledge of child development principles
- Team player with positive energy
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
- Background in education, psychology, or social work is beneficial
