Area Sales Manager – West 

The successful candidate is a strong individual contributor able to maintain existing and build new customer relations. This role may require up to 75% travel and is responsible for promoting and selling our products across West Coast Regions. 

  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  •   Provide professional advice to our customers on new projects, including preparation of offers
  •   Must be able to interface with various customer and internal departments on a technical level, including Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality  
  •   Participation in regional and international trade fairs
  •   Market and competition monitoring
  •   Ability to understand and implement sales concepts and marketing measures
  •   Reporting of key figures regarding lead management, customer visits or customer contacts, project funnel and incoming orders
  •   Ability to use their technical sales experience to develop new and existing business by utilizing a consultive solution selling approach to providing expert advice to customers
  •   B2B Sales and technical product knowledge of Syringes, Valves, Fittings, and Liquid Handling Robots

    PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE:

  •   Possess precision fluidics solutions knowledge selling into Life Science markets including Syringes, Valves, Fittings, and Liquid Handling Robots. 

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

  •   Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business, or related degree.  
  •   Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in customer facing sales. Preferably with Life Sciences, and Analytical markets with a focus on customer-specific development projects. 
  •   Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  •   Travel, consisting of up to 50-75%  
  •   Proficiency is Microsoft Office Suite 
  •   Experience using Salesforce preferred 
  •   Must demonstrate high energy level and commitment to setting and achieving goals
